Explanation on Rating : The main producers of the project will be poor/marginalized people. The producers will earn much more than $1.90/day once they involve in this project. It will also help to reduce the multi-dimensional poverty too. One is consumed by all sort of people, the price will be much more below than current market price, because of this lower price the poor consumer will also get the benefit. The project will create lot jobs where priority will be given to the poor/marginalized people while hiring. The skills and knowledge of poor people will be enhanced.

Explanation on Rating : A table mentioned above highlights the different nutritional and other values of onion. The project aims to end the hunger of poor and marginalized people as they will have sufficient money to buy the food for longer period. Land productivity will significantly be increased due to increase in the soil organic matter. Empty land will also be utilized.

Explanation on Rating : Healthy life is the combination of many factors. Because of its different medicinal, caloric and nutritional values, onion is such a agro product that helps to promote the healthy lives as all age (from children to old) group do consumes it. The project also specially promotes the well-
being of poor and marginalized households. Suicide mortality due to poor economic conditions will be reduced. It also helps to reduce the maternal mortality rate.

Explanation on Rating : The project aims to given knowledge and skill to poor and marginalized people. If the incomes of poor and marginalized people increase their depend children will able to get the better education. They will be able to pay
the school fees and buy other educational materials. Due to promotion of clean energies, the indoor environment will be increased. Management of water and energy are the responsibility of women and girls. They do go to forest to collect the fire wood and spend time to collect the water. The project will also
consider to divert the unproductive time being spent to education and other productive works. The girls enrollment and attendants in academic institutions will be increased and dropout rates will be reduce.

Explanation on Rating : The grey and black water will be converted to bio-fertilizer, pesticides and energy. Due to uses of drip irrigation, the consumption of water will be drastically reduced. The project will also emphasis on rainwater harvesting and other environment friendly water techniques. Promotion of organic farming increases the water holding capacity of soil & land and
reduces the water evaporation. As grey and black water will be diverted to bio fertilizer, pesticides and energy, it will reduce the water contamination. Emphasis will also be given for the promotion of toilet attached biogas plants
by collaborating with relevant agencies as it will increase the nutrition/quality of organic composting.

Renewable Sector. There is very good relationship between the agriculture and energy. Energy supports to promote the agriculture and agriculture also supports for the promotion of energy. Hard types of agro residues will be used to convert into the sustainable source of biomass energy through the appropriate renewable energy technologies. Similarly, Clean energy such as
electricity, solar, wind, biogas may be used to irrigate and other purposes of the farms. The project will directly and indirectly support for the promotion of efficient clean energy such as cooking stoves. Per capita energy consumption
will be increased.

Employment, incomes, consumptions, savings and investments are the key cycle of economic growth. The project will help to increase the annual growth rate of real GDP per capita to some extent due to increase in domestic of onion and other associated products.

Explanation on Rating : In Nepalese context, onion is used for many
purposes. This is an innovation project. There is no such unique project. The project will support for product or allied factories such as Onion Flakes, Powder, Paste, Vacuum Packed Peeled Onion which could be raw materials for hotels, restaurants, noodles factory, etc. etc.
Infrastructure development comes automatically once we aim to promote the industries. Do not think of industrial development with the development of infrastructure. Production/Manufacturing value added as a proportion of GDP as well as industrie’s share in GDP will be increased which is low.

Explanation on Rating : Nepal is facing huge trade deficits with the neighboring countries, namely India and China. Nepal imports a lot and exports very little or negligible. So, to enhance economic development, Nepal should reduce the inequality. The main suppliers of onion in Nepal are China and India. The proposed project aims to substitute the imports of onion worth 5
Billion Rupees annual.
Income and expenditure inequality will be reduced. The project will also contribute to boost the growth rates of household expenditure or income per capita among the bottom 40 per cent of the population and the total population.

Explanation on Rating : Human settlements demand the huge volume of different foods, one of them is onion. It is becoming the regular food for many households. Onion uses as a salad or mixing ingredients for other items gives for better and delicious test. One gives many health benefits. Scarcity of supply of onion creates problem in cities. We already faced several times. Due to long term income opportunity, the producers can have safe houses.

Explanation on Rating : Nepal is one of the most vulnerable countries in terms of the adverse effects of climate change and global warming although Nepal is not the culprit of climate change or the contribution of Nepal in rising global warming is very negligible. Nepal’s greenhouse gas emission was only about 0.027 percent of total global emissions, but it had been disproportionately affected by the impacts of climate change.
Changing climate may also lead to draught, heavy rainfall and hails storm which will adversely affect the agriculture production. Less agricultural production and increase in population could mean more hunger around the globe, resulting in malnutrition and starvation. The adverse effects of impact of climate change will decrease food production and security due to more heat, fire, drought, floods, nutrients loss in food, plant diseases, pests, toxins, water availability, etc. While designing the project it will focus or considers the affect of climate change. GHG emission (CH4), GHG emission (N2O) and GHG emission (CO2) from Agri. sector will be reduced. The practice adapted in this project will replicated in other products.

There is very good relationship between the peace, conflict and development (basically social and economic). Micro financing promotes the social harmonies, social capital.
Social development is one of the main three key pillars of sustainable development. Proportion of population subjected to physical, psychological or sexual violence; conflict- related deaths and cases of girl & women trafficking due to poor economic conditions will be significantly reduced among the producers and other workers.
